Over in the blink of an eye, Curt Hawkins answered Dolph Ziggler's open challenge for a crack at the WWE Intercontinental Title. One Superkick later, Curt's big chance was over. All that build up, slowly putting together heel heat, for absolutely nothing. Without any fight whatsoever, Hawkins looked like a chump.

Moving quickly on, Dolph Ziggler addressed how happy he is to be the reigning Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown Live. Calling himself a fighting champ, Ziggler then fired out an interesting challenge for Survivor Series. It can't have been one that anybody watching was expecting, and some may not even have heard the man correctly.

Completely ignoring The Miz at ringside, Dolph said that he wanted any Monday Night Raw star to challenge for his gold. That's right, Ziggler was sending out feelers for another inter-promotional battle on pay-per-view, this time with one of SmackDown's titles up for grabs.

Neither Daniel Bryan or Shane McMahon had anything to say about this, which is certainly a glaring plot hole. Ziggler's challenge fell right at the end of his promo, so it would have been easy to gloss over.
