WWE SmackDown Falls Below 2 Million Viewers For First Time In 6 Months
A new WWE SmackDown viewership low for Roman Reigns' Universal Title reign.
Last week's WWE SmackDown viewership dropped below an average of 2 million for the first time since Roman Reigns became Universal Champion.
The final ratings came through yesterday, with SmackDown averaging 1.99 million across its two hours for the 12 February episode. This is down from the previous week's 2.26 million and is the show's lowest since 7 August 2020 (1.96 million).
SmackDown also experienced a decline in the key 18-49 demographic, dropping from the previous week's 0.65 to 0.57. This was still enough for the show to finish above anything on cable or broadcast network television apart from Shark Tank and 20/20 on ABC.
On a year-to-year basis, WWE's blue brand has been down on its 2020 numbers every single week of 2021 so far.
Between August 2020 and January 2021, Reigns' run on top had coincided with a rough 6.7% increase in viewership, though a rough February now threatens this.
These final SmackDown numbers came through late as a result of Monday's President's Day holiday in the United States. Raw's information should be expected later today, while Wednesday Night War figures won't come through until Friday.
