WWE SmackDown Live!: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Oct 10)

8. Bryan's Bad Day

Sami Zayn
WWE

A quick note on Daniel Bryan, who offered a lot with a little during his hasty reorganising of the tag team division on a show he now has to run solo.

He hastily set up a multi-team match won with aplomb by Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable, but he put a finer point on things noting that today really wasn't the day to be giving him a headache.

Ordinarily the smiling face of empty authority on the blue brand, Bryan cut a forlorn figure this week. Undoubtedly concerned about his colleague Shane McMahon, it's probable that he'll have mixed feelings over the shocking decision made by Sami Zayn that resulted in 'The Money's painful demise.

Whist the 'Yes Man' may be disgusted at the actions of the 'Underdog From The Underground', he'll have been hard pushed not to understand exactly why Sami made the save. He too was a victim of oppression within the WWE machine, and now, less than a year away from potentially exiting altogether just so he can do what he really loves, he's become part of the oppressive hierarchy himself. His unusually unloved slicked back hair completed the package of a man confined to such pained internal conflict.
