WWE SmackDown Live!: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Oct 10)

7. Lass Kicker

Nia Jax was kept as far away from the abysmal 'who wants to fight Asuka?' segment and subsequent match on this week's edition of Monday Night Raw that was perhaps only so awful to highlight just what a breeze life will be like for the 'Empress Of Tomorrow' when she finally arrives on the main roster.

Though Tuesdays tête-à-scuffle wasn't anywhere near as appalling as the Monday monstrosity, it did bring together the bulk of the division in a pointless brawl that almost made the mistake of reducing the league to a single-issue group.

Pleasingly, this seemed designed to aid the upward trajectory of Becky Lynch. Like Jax on Raw, the 'Irish Lass Kicker' wasn't anywhere to be found in the needless backstage bedlam, then came out and smashed the sh*t out of the overmatched Carmella with relative ease.

Lynch has had to make do with a permanent spot on the back-burner in 2017, having first fallen behind Alexa Bliss and later her babyface buddies Charlotte Flair and Naomi in returning to the summit of the show. Though underplayed by the announcers, this week felt like a concious effort to rectify that.
