2. The New Day

While the defection of The Shining Stars didn't exactly set the wrestling world on fire with discussion and anticipation of new matches, the announcement that The New Day was coming to Tuesdays did exactly the opposite.

One of the most heavily rumored acts to be changing shows, New Day had gone from being the longest reigning WWE tag team champions of all-time to WrestleMania hosts and cereal and popsicle shills. Was there anything left for them to accomplish on Raw, outside of an ill-advised heel turn or break up?

With the migration to Tuesdays, New Day now has a whole new crew of tag teams to work with, and in a division that's hurting for star power their mere presence is going to be a boost to everyone that they rub elbows with.

Perhaps more importantly - although admittedly not from the average fan's perspective - is that, with John Cena taking a lengthy hiatus, SmackDown now has an act that sells a massive amount of merchandise to help make up for all the lost revenue.

New Day was in the unique position of being one of the most over acts in the business while essentially spinning their wheels as in-ring performers, and this move makes more sense than any other in the Shake-Up - strengthening the blue brand from a wrestling and financial standpoint.
