WWE SummerSlam 2014: 10 Cameos We Most Want To See

8. Batista

WWE.comWWE.comIt is quite likely that we€™ll see The Animal before the end of the year and with Guardians of the Galaxy being released in the US on August 1st (with other worldwide dates being of a similar time) then Big Dave is free of a big return. Obviously, his initial comeback was poorly handled. It started with him shaking hands with HHH which, although WWE wanted him to be a face, immediately put him in the camp of The Authority. From there, he won the Royal Rumble by both doing very little in the ring but also at the height of €˜The Yes Movement€™. He was placed in the WrestleMania main event because of his backstage friendship with Trips and we were all supposed to cheer him. Obviously, it didn€™t work out that way. The last time we saw Batista though, he walked out on Evolution. Does this mean he€™ll return as a face again? Hopefully not. Some of Big Dave€™s best work has been as the spoilt champ who wants everything his own way. Before leaving the last time, his wheelchair promo was a highlight. Unfortunately, we didn€™t see him in a ring again for four years. Let€™s hope, if Dave does return it€™s in this role. Again though, the WWE world might well be revolving around Brock Lesnar by that point so another 2002 OVW dream-match might be set up after Cena with The Animal going head-to-head with The Beast. The best way we could get behind Dave in this story would be if he spoke less and let his actions do the talking. Also, Batista has to be booked strongly so we can get behind him otherwise Boo-tista will re-emerge and we€™ll all be cheering Lesnar.
