WWE SummerSlam 2017: 10 Shocks That Could Happen
2. Samoa Joe Wins The Universal Title
WWE have instructed Michael Cole to harp on incessantly about the fact Brock Lesnar doesn't need to be pinned or submitted at SummerSlam to lose the Universal Title. In the Fatal-4-Way main event (which surely will headline, because that'd be another shock if it didn't), Lesnar can drop the title without being involved in the finish.
The most likely winners not named Brock Lesnar are Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. Reigns is the kind of poster boy Vince McMahon seems determined to force into fan hearts, and the imposing Strowman has caught fire as Raw's resident wrecking ball. Fans love his penchant for causing carnage, especially when it comes at the expense of Reigns.
It'd be something then to see Samoa Joe come out with the title. He's the one people would least expect to see win; Joe had his title shot against Lesnar at Great Balls Of Fire, lost to Brock, and that seemed to be it for his top line aspirations. Not so if he stuns everyone by winning at SummerSlam.
