WWE may never realise that they're sullying the good name of WrestleMania by claiming that these glorified international updates for UK shows like Rebellion and Capital Carnage are on par with it. Maybe they don't care, and all that matters is that Saudi's wealthiest feel good about their investment.

Fans care though.

Unless the promotion are thicker than the wallets of those dignitaries who fill exclusive private boxes, they'll avoid chatter about how Super ShowDown is 'bigger than WrestleMania'. Last year's event was said to be "as good as or better than 'Mania", and millions of lifelong supporters collectively gasped at such careless hype.

These international package deals are nowhere near the level of WrestleMania, and they never will be. That event series is on top because of the countless memorable moments is has provided over the years, and because of its longevity. WWE need to quit sucking the 'Mania teat when it comes to these Saudi specials before it has lasting damage on the spring-time tradition.
