WWE superstars have reacted to the devastating news that Bret Hart is battling prostate cancer. WWE Champion and Executive Vice President Triple H led the tributes, tweeting "Thoughts and prayers with @BretHart and his family. Let's all get in his corner to help him win this fight!!! #GetWellHitman." Both men worked closely in the nineties, but there was always lingering resentment over Hunter's role in the Montreal screwjob. It was in fact Triple H who came up with the idea. Even just a few years ago, Hart was saying how he doesn't rate Hunter as a wrestler. But old battle wounds go out of the window in cases like this, and no doubt Triple H's well wishes are happily received on Hart's side. Chris Jericho also offered his support on Instagram, stating "Since I was a teenager @brethitmanhart has been a hero and an inspiration to me. And today he continues to inspire me, by going public with his battle with cancer. Join me in standing by him and fighting with him until he beats this disease!! #HitmanForever" Hart and Jericho are good friends, and like many wrestlers of Jericho's generation, Hart was one of the inspirations to the locker room. He really was the best in the world at one point in time. Meanwhile, Hart Family member and WWE Diva Natalya shared the following thoughts on her Instagram "I'm so proud of @brethitmanhart for coming forward about his battle with cancer and using his voice to help others. I know it's taken a lot of courage for Bret to share this, but now his voice is a powerful tool that can help inspire the masses. If anyone can beat this, it's Bret. #bestthereisbesttherewasbestthereeverwillbe".
