WWE Update On The Severity Of Finn Balor's Injury

WWE's doctor weighs in on the situation.

Finn Balor Surgery Too Sweet

WWE doctor Jeffrey Durgas has commented on now-former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor's surgery along with the severity of the injury itself. Durgas stated that the injury was more severe than normal and that more damage was done than in a standard shoulder tear.

Durgas said 'The prognosis is excellent, however. We were able to fix it all and put it back where it came from. I'm anticipating him getting back at full speed'. The initial diagnosis for the injury and surgery put Balor out of action for anywhere between four and six months.

The latest report from WWE didn't include an updated timeframe however, and there were concerned voices at RAW this past Monday thinking the Irishman could be out longer. Still, this is World Wrestling Entertainment, so I'd expect Balor to make a miracle recovery and be a surprise entrant in the 2017 Royal Rumble.

Balor tweeted a couple of photos from the surgery (as seen above) to console his fans, including one picture where he threw up a Too Sweet. After gipping The Club at SummerSlam it remains to be seen whether Styles, Gallows & Anderson will take umbrage with this.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
