Another criticism of celebrities getting in the ring is that they are only there to promote their own show/movie/album/book/etc and that they have no interest in or respect for professional wrestling. For Stephen Amell, that isn't the case at all.

Amell's love of wrestling dates back to his childhood and eclipses his love of comics - somewhat surprising considering the role he's best known for playing. He even tweeted last year that he wanted to host Raw, promising that he'd even be willing to wrestle if WWE let him. In fact forget being a fan, Amell is almost a bonafide Mark for the business!

Fans can always spot the difference between a celebrity who uses WWE as a means to an end, and a celebrity who genuinely wants to be there. Amell is the latter and he will make every effort to show the fans that he loves wrestling just as much as they do.
