WWE WrestleMania 30: 8 Possible Opponents For Triple H

3. GoldbergGoldberg

To me, this is perhaps the most intriguing choice of the bunch. The reason for that is the majority of fans likely expect Goldberg's possible return to include a WrestleMania match with the man that is most often compared to him; Ryback. Indeed, the two men seem destined to cross as Ryback has been saddled with the Goldberg chants almost from the moment that he began squashing opponents in the ring. While it may seem very unfair for fans to not give Ryback a chance, the truth is that the similarities are definitely there. And WWE has actually acknowledged the reactions on the air. Ryback has given interviews recently stating that he's open to face Goldberg at WrestleMania 30. So the seeds have been sewn for the match to take place, if Goldberg is open to it. But I for one believe that a match against Triple H would be much more entertaining and would be the most logical in terms of Goldberg's past WWE career. Triple H has caught a lot of heat over the years for his supposed refusal to put anyone else over in the ring. While I happen to believe that a lot of that talk is nonsense, that does not change the fact that many fans feel Hunter has always been out for himself. And they feel it has come at the expense of other Superstars. This includes Goldberg, whose WWE stint in 2003 left a bad taste in the mouths of many. While he was presented as an intensely powerful beast as he was in WCW, the fact is that when he ran into Triple H, he ran into a brick wall. Hunter was the top guy at that time and even though Bill did win the World Championship from him, Triple H did eventually win the feud. This has never sat well with Goldberg's fans, who felt he deserved better. One last match, one last win over Triple H, would provide a nice final act for Goldberg's career. This one is very intriguing indeed.
