Back in November of 2015, WWE crowned Roman Reigns the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the Survivor Series. Shortly after he had captured the gold however, Sheamus cashed in his 'Money In The Bank' briefcase to cruelly snatch the moment away from Reigns. There would be none of those hi-jinks come WrestleMania 32.

Clean as a whistle, Roman pinned Triple H to become the new champion. 'Clean' may confuse some; Stephanie McMahon did make her way into the ring, but only really to take a Spear from the challenger. The writing was clear, Roman Reigns won the belt all by himself, overcoming The Authority to do so.

It seems like WWE aren't quite ready to kiss that faction goodbye quite yet, but at least they booked them to get some comeuppance finally. There's nothing to indicate that Reigns won't experience a lengthy tenure as the new champ, he's definitely a hand-picked headliner by those calling the shots behind the scenes.

Namely, Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie feel he's the future of the promotion's babyface pack, despite growing fan unrest over that idea.
