WWE WrestleMania 33: 10 Potential Opponents For Goldberg

1. Brock Lesnar

Speaking of WWE superstars that The Rock was unable to defeat, the other aside from Goldberg was Brock Lesnar. Lesnar/Rock was rumored for WrestleMania XXX and again for 31, but never came to be. While that match could certainly headline WrestleMania 33, Lesnar/Goldberg III is far more likely.

Above all other opponents for Goldberg for WrestleMania in Orlando, Brock Lesnar appears to be the most likely. For one, WWE has already begun telling the story of Lesnar coming in overconfident for their Survivor Series match. Another rematch in which Brock commits more focus towards his opponent is the sensible end-game.

But the next logical step actually comes at the Royal Rumble in San Antonio. With Goldberg having already announced his intentions to enter the Royal Rumble and go on to win another world championship at WrestleMania 33, Lesnar costing Goldberg his chance by eliminating him from the Royal Rumble will likely be the setup for their third and final match.

With Lesnar under contract to WWE for one more year following WrestleMania 33, in addition to his age, The Beast's future with WWE has the ability to deliver more fruit than that of Goldberg. Because of that, WWE is likely to have Lesnar exact his revenge before Goldberg rides off into the sunset and what bigger stage to present Goldberg/Lesnar III than WrestleMania 33?
