Heyman kissing Punk on the head after revealing that he'd be getting his long-awaited WrestleMania main event this year wasn't insincere. That was a genuine moment between two friends, and a sweet announcement from a mentor who believed in Punk when others in power at WWE certainly didn't. That includes Triple H, by the way.

We're finally here now, so why not go the whole way and gift CM Punk a win he'll cherish forever? That'd be the most compelling outcome to the Triple Threat anyway, to be honest. Rollins winning would come out of nowhere and feel like a shocker, but Roman coming out on top feels a little lazy. Then, there's Punk. He's winging his way towards a World/WWE Title shot at some point.

Win out on Saturday night, and he'd be in some position to call his shot. Remember that for coming entries.

Paul E will be in Punk's corner for the match this weekend, which is a cool full circle moment for the pair on screen together. Whilst true that WWE is content to completely ignore Heyman smashing Punk to bits with a ladder at Money In The Bank 2013 so they can tell this story of loyalty, it is believable that this is water under the bridge almost 12 years on too.

Punk has been a lightning rod for controversy since leaving WWE the first time, and his AEW run proved every bit as dramatic. Even the man's biggest critics would find it hard to begrudge him a win in the main event of 'Mania though.
