So, let's get one thing straight: Raw's tag-team scene gets the nod, but SmackDown's doesn't even after months of shining on TV?! That doesn't make much sense, but more on that later. For now, let's focus on the thought that Big E will roll into view and cost both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods the chance to beat The War Raiders.

E's story has stalled since he was unceremoniously booted out of New Day's midst during the 2 December 2024 episode of flagship show Raw. In fairness, he likely can't wrestle again due to serious neck injuries, but WWE surely has to find some way of putting egg on the faces of Woods and Kingston for their behaviour. Otherwise, what was the point?

Seeing former WWE Champion and all-round smashing bloke Big E smile after costing his old pals the chance to win more gold on the grandest stage sounds like a plan. That can come at the end of a hotly contested tag bout that sees Xavier and Kofi cheat, cheat, then cheat some more as they try to take the straps away from Erik and Ivar.

Fans there live in Las Vegas would get a real kick out of seeing E restore some balance in the ongoing power battle between he and his faded friends. Then, all going well, E can grab a cool tag-team partner and work a carefully constructed spot or two at Backlash or on a coming edition of TV.

No bumps required. All people really need to see Big E do is dish out a punch or two, or hit a steel chair shot as revenge.
