WWE WrestleMania 41: 7 Nightmares That Could Come True

5. Paul Heyman Sides With Seth Rollins

What Could Happen: All this chatter about Paul Heyman showing more loyalty towards CM Punk than Roman Reigns is a red herring designed to throw fans off the scent of the real treachery. Late in the match, and right as either Reigns or Punk looks like winning, Heyman causes a distraction that paves the way for none other than Seth Rollins to unthinkably go from third wheel to 'Mania night one main event winner.

Why It'd Be A Nightmare: Well, it just flat out doesn't make any sense.

WWE's spin doctors would have to be on top form to explain away why Heyman was interested in aligning with Seth. The same goes in reverse. Yes, Rollins did say Paul owed him a favour because he chose not to stomp his face into the mat recently on Raw, but...is that really enough of a plot line to justify Heyman turning his back on Punk and Roman in favour of Seth?

Not exactly. Besides, there'd be no calls for Rollins to launch his own version of The Shield with Paul as manager. If Heyman was hanging around with Seth for the rest of 2025, then there's a chance that Rollins would just look like a lesser version of the heel 'Tribal Chief' character that Reigns had been playing for years.

Punk would be left fairly rudderless too, and he'd look like a chump for failing to bring up Heyman knocking lumps out of him back at Money In The Bank 2013, or any of their other bumps and bruises during what WWE claims has been a flawless friendship.
