Where Is He Now: Conservative Commentator on Fox Nation

Few wrestlers have done a bigger 180 than Brodus Clay, who was touted as coming to the main roster as a killer heel, only to debut as a goofy, dancing Funkasaurus. Clay was originally a dominant babyface, beating all challengers. But after a loss to Big Show a few months into his 2012 run, Brodus sunk into a role as a lower-level face, ultimately teaming with Tensai as an undercard tag team Tons of Funk. A late 2013 heel turn wasn’t enough to save Clay’s WWE career.

After his release, Clay joined TNA under the name Tyrus, where he competed off and on for about four years. He was involved in several feuds but didn’t amass any titles during his time with the company. He’s wrestled just twice since January 2018, most recently in January 2020.

During the past four years, Tyrus has become a fixture on Fox News and its steaming service Fox Nation as a conservative commentator. He also was accused of sexual harassment for allegedly sending his co-host lewd texts, with Britt McHenry filing a sexual harassment suit against Tyrus in December.
