10 Amazing Comic Books You're Probably Ignoring

2. Flash Forward

Justice League Dark Wonder Woman Helmet of Fate
DC Comics

The last decade was a rough one for Wally West, his uncle Barry replaced him in the main Flash series, and after the launch of the New 52 in 2011, Wally and his family disappeared.

Eventually Wally returned during DC Rebirth in 2016 but even that joy was soon outlived. Wally would die twice while a part of the Titans, his wife Linda didn't remember him, and his kids were still missing. Then Heroes in Crisis happened, and Wally accidentally killed several heroes after losing control of his powers.

Long story short, Flash Forward is a six issue mini-series written by Scott Lobdell, focusing on Wally looking for redemption. Flash Forward seeks to move Wally on from that tragedy and bring him back to the forefront of DC like he was when he headlined the Flash series.

The art by die hard Wally fan Brett Booth is stunning and worth the price of the book alone. Issue six releases this coming Wednesday the 19th and with the information from DC that the upcoming Free Comic Book Day book will heavily feature Wally, there is no better time to binge Flash Forward than right now.
