When Grant Morrison began his Batman run in 2006, he gave Bruce a love interest in the form of Jezebel Jet, a wealthy philanthropist. Over the course of several issues, Bruce and Jezebel became lovers until Jezebel became one of Bruce's most trusted confidantes, working her way into his inner circle to the point where he revealed to her his greatest secret: Bruce Wayne is Batman! And then Batman RIP happened. The storyline where the Black Glove, a secret organisation that had been working behind the scenes to destroy Batman, makes its move on the Batcave and it's revealed shock! Jezebel Jet is one of them! Poor Bruce not only is he betrayed by Jezebel but he's then shot full of high grade heroin, his memory is wiped, and he's dumped out on the street to wander about like a crazy homeless drug addict! And that's just the beginning of his troubles in the fantastic Batman RIP arc. Even Batman gets his heart broken now and again!
