Spider-Man writer Dan Slott is joined by FF artist extraordinaire Michael Allred for Silver Surfer #1. Having already debuted some amazing pages in All-New Marvel NOW! Point One, the comic that showcases the best of the Marvel's new releases, the series already looks to be one of the best of the year. Freed from servitude to the world-eater Galactus, the Surfer is joined by a female Earth companion as he goes on cosmic adventures in a style similar in tone to Doctor Who. The third character in the line-up is the board itself which has a personality of its own, like the magic carpet from Disney's Aladdin. Slott says the series will pay homage to Jack Kirby's cosmic stories and incredible artistic vision that's paved the way for the modern day Marvel Universe. Michael Allred's stunningly beautiful artwork is made all the more eye-poppingly gorgeous by colours from his wife, Laura Allred.
