10 Avengers Enemies That Are MORE Powerful Than Thanos

5. Galactus

Thanos Pheonix

While it might be a surprise for some of you to see Galactus at only the halfway point on this list, by no means is he a pushover.

Born to the Utopian planet Taa near the very end of the sixth cycle of the main Earth-616 universe, the being once known as Galan was an explorer tasked to scour the cosmos for a way to save Taa and its inhabitants before the eventual destruction of the universe.

Despite failing in his task to protect his people, Galan decided to take himself and the few survivors of the planet's destruction to the central core of the universe into which all matter was receding, dubbed "The Cosmic Egg".

Though the journey killed his fellow survivors, it changed something within Galan, imbuing him with cosmic energy beyond comprehension and transforming him into the titanic Galactus.

Needing to feast on whole planets just to satiate his hunger and sustain his power, Galactus is beyond even a cosmic level threat, capable of wiping out solar systems in a matter of days with potentially limitless power. And we're only just halfway.
