Lord Superman features both in comics and the Justice League animated TV show. He bears many resemblances to Superman from the Injustice universe. He starts his career in much the same way as the conventional Superman, fighting crime and inspiring hope in his icon red and blue colours.

After President Lex Luthor executes the Flash, Superman comes to the realisation that sparing the lives of even his most evil enemies comes at the cost of good and innocent people.

In him is triggered an ideological shift, and so he murders Luthor, and adopts a new way of fighting crime, crushing it with force, killing the wicked.

He is not the only hero who turns to darkness in this way; other members of the Justice League follow his example, and he becomes the leader of The Justice Lords Of America, a dictator eradicating crime by fiat.

There are many authoritarian versions of the character like this, and it makes for an interesting contrast to the more traditional depictions.
