5. Billy Butcher - The Boys

The Boys is a superhero comic unlike possibly any other and has become a comic known to many, recently due to its TV adaptation on Amazon Prime. It gained a large cult following in part due to its graphic violence and R-rated humour.

The story follows the Boys, a group who take power-enhancing drugs in order to fight superheroes when they do wrong. The group is led by Bily Butcher, a hard man from London with a hatred for the amorality of the heroes of the world, in particular, Homelander, who leads The Seven, the Avengers equivalent in the world of The Boys.

Butcher fights for what he believes in and has a strong moral code about what is right or wrong, but his often ultra-violent reactions put him firmly into antihero territory.
