10 Awesome Antiheroes From British Comics Creators

6. Zenith - Zenith

Zenith 2000AD Comics
2000AD

Created in 2000AD by Grant Morrison, Zenith follows a similar theme to Jupiter’s Legacy. Zenith is a character who does not care about saving the world but simply uses his influence as a superhero to try and further his music career. Zenith himself drinks does drugs, and ignores his responsibilities to save the world.

The comic relies on British comic history as Zenith travels through different universes that contain characters from other comics.

Zenith’s flawed nature is shown most clearly in an issue where it appears that he has sacrificed himself to defeat the villains of the comic, multidimensional beings called the Lloigor. It turns out that it was another version of Zenith that sacrificed himself, and that Zenith never even came to the fight.

Zenith was one of Grant Morrison’s crowning glories and remains an influential character in British comics.
