6. The Punisher
Yes, I know that there was an awesome Punisher game released on the PS2 and XBOX several years back. I played through it multiple times and have been patiently awaiting a re-release on the PSN or XBOX Live for some time. With all the weapons you could choose and the interrogation feature, plus the voice of Thomas Jane, it's hard to go wrong with that game. But I want more. Instead of putting the Punisher in a fairly linear setting, expand his world. The Punisher doesn't just go from Point A to Point B, he tracks crimes, he makes plans, he gathers information. Frank Castle is one of the greatest strategists in the Marvel Universe, so give us the chance to experience some of that strategy. My ideal Punisher game would put him in an open world setting. You gather information from a variety of sources€”informants, snitches, police contacts, etc. Interrogate people for information or pay them off. Purchase new and upgraded weapons from Microchip. You start off with the Punisher's traditional .45s, but play long enough, you could have a completely tricked-out Battlevan. Decide how you proceed against the criminal underworld, which cases you'll take on. Sure, you can go shooting first and asking questions later, but with no survivors and a scorched earth policy, it'll be harder to gather intelligence to move on. And the more trouble Frank causes, the more a wanted meter like in GTA will increase. Except instead of SWAT teams and the army, you'll have to deal with SHIELD and the Avengers coming after you. And how about a DLC where you get to play as Franken-Castle?
