10 Awesome Comics That Need To Be TV Shows

Honourable Mention €“ Powers

powers reflection

The reason Powers has an honourable mention in this list is that is in already in production, albeit one that is slightly stagnant at the moment due to scripting issues and reshoots. Written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Michael Avon Oeming, the story focusses on a world where super heroes and villains are at large but the police force still has a job to and this often means cleaning up the mess left behind after the battles and murders between these two different sections of society. Underneath the fantastical world of super powers, there is a classically written crime noir story that manages to still work within the confines of the world of super heroes. This comic is perfectly set up for the move from the page to television as the characters are suitably well written to work not only as a detective television series; but also one that brings in murder, turf wars, and sex from the super hero world along with some rather fantastical elements at times. All I can say is I hope they bring the Stone Age storyline in, I will leave it at that for those whose haven't read the comic, because I really don't want to ruin the imagery and storyline for you!
