10 Awesome Comics That Need To Be TV Shows

7. The Private Eye

tpeye_0 Although only 3 issues into this (hopefully) 10 issue miniseries, this online web comic is already proving quite a hit. Written by Brian K. Vaughan (get ready for more of him later) and drawn by Marcos Martin, this future set story features a world where the internet no longer exists, the paparazzi is outlawed and people are allowed to express themselves in a variety of different costumes called "Nyms". The main crux of the story is on a private investigator (hence the name The Private Eye), who is hired by a woman to investigate her own past. Now before you start crying "SPOILERS", this is as much information I am going to give you about the comic, because there is so much more going on that you really do need to read it for yourself to truly appreciate how intriguing it is. Full of murder, cults, and cliff hangers to name but a few of techniques used to keep the readers entertained from one month to the next; this comic would make for some gripping television. It features just enough real world mystery to keep the average viewer entertained but also enough fantasy to bring in a more selective market. This comic has cult classic written all over it!
