10 Awful Comic Book Characters That Don't Deserve A Movie Adaptation

5. The Wonder Twins

In the 1970s Hanna-Barbera brought the world one of pop culture's most enduring punch lines: Zan and Jayna, aka the Wonder Twins. There have been many idiotic comic book superpowers over the years like Color Kid's ability to change an object's color or Stone Boy's ability to turn into an immobile statue, but few have rivalled the hilarity of the Wonder Twins'. When they make contact Zan can transform into water of any state, e.g. liquid, solid or gas, and Jayna can transform into any animal, real or fictional. In theory this is a super-cool power that would make the twins dangerous foes, but in practice the Wonder Twins ended up creating hilarious pairings. The duo would strike fear into villains by transforming into an eagle carrying a bucket of water or a griffin brandishing an icicle. In the 2000s, Cartoon Network's Adult Swim brought back the Wonder Twins in a series of webisodes that highlighted how useless the duo's powers would be at fighting crime. Every attempt they made to save the day ended in tragic failure. The Wonder Twins could work in small doses that highlight how truly stupid their powers are, but if anyone expanded the concept to feature length the joke would get stale pretty fast. Some heroes were never meant to play in the big leagues and the Wonder Twins clearly don't stack up against the best of the best.
