3. Lazara
Lazara is actually Nora Fries, and no, that's not pronounced like french fries as I initially thought. It's pronounced Freeze. Yes, you guessed it, Lazara is the wife of Victor Fries aka Mr. Freeze.
But wait, you say. I thought Nora Fries was dead, or at least in a coma and displayed in a human-sized snow globe. You'd be right, but Freeze makes a deal with Nyssa Al Ghul to help her capture Batgirl, so he can use the Lazarus Pit to bring back his beloved Nora.
As usual, when dealing with the Lazarus Pit, things don't go to plan. Nora exits the Pit as an evil villainess, having absorbed the harmful energies of the Pit. She starts calling herself Lazara, and she gains the ability to conjure flame and reanimate the dead.
Well, this isn't precisely what Freeze had in mind, now is it? So, with the help of Batman, Mr. Freeze blasts Nora with his ice gun and, presumably, puts her back in that human snow globe thing.
