8. Kal El - Superman: Speeding Bullets
Instead of being found by the Kents and being raised in Smallville, infant Kal-El is found by Thomas and Martha Wayne and raised as their only child. Super-Bruce enjoys a relatively normal childhood for an alien who was adopted by billionaires.
The same familiar tragic events play out at the Monarch Theater, right until the moment after the Wayne’s deaths. In a rage, young Bruce’s Kryptonian heritage manifests in a blast of heat vision, killing Joe Chill. Apparently even little Kal is more of a badass than main continuity Batman.
Bruce has repressed any memory of the night of his adopted parents deaths, as well as his powers. Instead of focusing his efforts to save his city, he withdraws himself, rarely leaving Wayne manor. He finds himself haunted by the seemingly endless stream of tragedy in Gotham but is unsure what to do about it.
During an attempted burglary of Wayne Manor, Kal's powers manifest again. Finally realizing his true origin, his mission becomes clear.
As Batman, Bruce uses fear, intimidation and as his God-like power to subdue Gotham's constant crime wave. While most of Gotham's citizens accept this new vigilante as a savior, Lois Lane see's Batman as no better than the criminals he terrorizes.
During a confrontation with Lex Luthor (who's origin is combined with Jokers') Lois helps Bruce realize that not only Gotham but the world needs someone better. A man that stands a symbol of hope and virtue that people can aspire to, a hero that operates in the light. He must become Superman
