This 2000 direct-to-DVD movie was set in the future continuity of Batman Beyond, meaning that the Batman in question was actually Terry McGinnis, rather than Bruce Wayne, though the events of this movie prompted Wayne to don the Batsuit once more. The movie is superb and sees the apparent return of the long-dead Joker. Bruce Wayne saw him die years earlier and theorises this Joker must either be a fake, a clone or have been in suspended animation. It actually turns out that, prior to his death, the Joker had implanted a chip into Tim Drake's head containing his consciousness, which enable him to "become" The Joker at any given time. In addition to some plastic surgery The Joker had carried out on his face, this made Tim a very convincing Joker. However, together, Bruce and Terry destroy the chip, saving Tim and killing The Joker once and for all.
