In 1991, the first of many crossovers between the Predators and a super-hero took place. The sweltering, crime-ridden city of Gotham was a natural fit for a Predator, and one found itself there hunting game when it came up against the ultimate trophy, Batman.

In their first outing, Bruce fairs poorly against the Predator and barely escapes with his life. While recovering, and as the Predator's body count climbs, Bruce builds an armoured suit strong enough for a re-match with his alien foe.

With large shoulder pauldrons and a visored helmet, the design looked almost like a suit of medieval armour. The ballistic weave, spiked gauntlets, and built-in sonar (to counter the Predator's cloaking device), however, were all early 90's comic glory.

Batman ultimately beats the Predator with a baseball bat to the head,) which (presumably) embarrasses it so much that it commits ritual suicide. A Predator ship lands to take the young warrior away and the Predator Elder presents Bruce with the suicide sword as a trophy.

The Anti-Predator Armour may not be the most powerful on the list, but it may be the coolest looking.
