5. Jingle Belle: The Homemades' Tale

Jingle Belle Homemades Tale

Santa Claus can be considered the embodiment of consumerism for the holiday season. He comes into the house, drops off a few bright, shiny new toys and then leaves.

What happens to the homemade gifts that get passed aside for the hot new thing? The day after Christmas, the Queen of Toys comes and takes them to her land to live out their days. This year, however, she has her armies amassed to take yuletide vengeance on the Kringle family for what happened to her a long Christmas ago. It is up to Jingle Belle, the rebellious teen daughter of Santa, and a hodge-podge group of friends, to save Christmas.

There's only a couple weeks until Christmas so it's about time holiday media began to be unleashed unto the world. This title should be a Christmas classic by the end of the month because Paul Dini hit every point for both a festive book but one that has staying power. The humor here is only matched by the heart that beats through every page of this comic, which is in turn matched by Nicolleta Baidari's art.
