2. Spider-Man Vs. Kingpin

Civil War Captain America Iron Man
Marvel Comics

Spider-Man revealed his identity to the world during the superhero Civil War.

As a direct result of this, an assassin found Peter Parker and took a shot at him. While Peter managed to get himself and MJ out of the way, the bullet found Aunt May. Parker tracked the shooter back to the man who ordered the hit, one of his oldest adversaries, Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime.

In Amazing Spider-Man #542, Spider-Man, in his black costume, confronts Kingpin at Ryker’s Island Prison. Fisk is dressed in a white tuxedo and holding his diamond-topped cane while he mocks Parker for being a chump and letting his Aunt take the bullet meant for him. Spidey explains to Wilson that the costume represents promises that he will not break, and he takes it off, saying that Spider-Man isn’t there to kill him; Peter Parker is.

Peter beats Kingpin all around the prison yard, dodging any return punches the big man tries to make. Fisk is finally bloody and face down, unable to stand.

With that, ol' Web-head picks his opponent up by the skin of his chest and repeatedly slaps his face. He then says that he will kill him by filling his lungs with web fluid, but not today. Spider-Man warns all the convicts there that if anyone touches his family again, they are dead. He then swings away, leaving Kingpin bloody on the prison floor.
