Over the years, Tony Stark has made an absolutely huge assortment of Iron Man armors. Of all of the various suits in his repertoire, however, there is one that stands out substantially from the rest: the 'Bleeding Edge' armour, named such by Stark because it's a creation that requires cutting edge technology.

The Bleeding Edge armour first appeared in the third volume of the Invincible Iron Man series, and serves as the biggest improvement in the quality of the overall armour. While each edition has been impressive, the changes made for this suit are substantially more impressive, as the suit is both placed into the bones of Tony Stark to be summoned conveniently at any time, and able to self-repair via constantly replicating nano-machines. It's a pretty huge deal, basically.

It isn't the perfect armour, by any means - as it can be affected by viruses that stop Iron Man from being able to 'call out' his armour - it's still a huge upgrade from the armours he'd made prior, making it one of his best inventions to date.
