10 Best Moments From Charles Soule's Daredevil

7. The Team-Up With Spider-Man

Daredevil By Phil Noto
Marvel Comics

When it comes to Daredevil's superhero allies, other than perhaps the Defenders, Spider-Man is always the first one to come to mind.

This is probably why their team-up in Daredevil #9 was so enjoyable, the pair tackling a group of triads across Macau and Hong Kong, as well as dealing with the consequences of the aforementioned Purple arc.

Towards the end of the issue, Spidey confesses that he no longer trusts the Man Without Fear, due to the fact that, like everyone, Pete has a few gaps in his memory when it comes to his interactions with Daredevil. Fortunately the matter is resolved when Murdock reveals the truth (but still not his identity), with Spidey responding in traditional Spidey fashion: "Watch out for those black-costume phases. They can really do a number on you."

Yet, despite the tension in the finale, this was one of the few stories in which Matt truly seemed happy, something which isn't often seen in non-Waid Daredevil tales.
