10 Best Variant Comic Book Covers You’ve Never Seen
8. X-23 #1
You may not recognize the name Marko Djurdjevic but you will recognize his work. His covers for Marvel, such as Amazing Spider-Man and Hawkeye and Mockingbird, are some of the most beautiful to grace the publisher's pages.
So with the release of X-23 #1, it makes sense that they would turn to him to supply this variant.
There is so much going on here, as a host of fellow heroes join Laura Kinney in her debut issue. She could easily get lost in such an action-packed scene, but it's a testament to Djurdjevic's skill as an artist that it's X-23 herself taking pride of place.
With claws drawn and hair flowing, she leaps off the page, drawing your eyes to her even though she is backed up by seven other characters.
Still in the employ of the House of Mouse, his most recent gift to the fandom is Ghost Rider: The War For Heaven, which in itself is worth a look, but it's this cover that will always stand out amongst a truly epic body of work.
