10 Biggest Things To Come Out Of Marvel Legacy #1
4. The Quest For The Infinity Stones Begins
With multiple characters on the lookout for the gems, it can only mean an Infinity Quest is on the horizon.
Already, in All-New Guardians of the Galaxy, we knew Gamora and the Guardians were looking for the Infinity Stones (and yes, it would seem that Marvel has now taken to calling them Stones in the comics as well as the films, instead of Gems) ostensibly to keep them out of the hands of Thanos, but also because Gamora and her crew have become aware that something has been changed with reality affecting even the Elders of the universe and themselves.
However, in Marvel Legacy #1 we see this quest heat up, and become a clear focus for the whole Marvel Universe going forward.
Between a major character winding up actually taking possession of the Mind Stone... gem... whatever, we also learn that Loki had been seeking them out too, claiming his plans are actually to 'save the world', and Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin, is also on the hunt for objects of power, which could mean he'll wind up put onto the track for an Infinity Stone of his own too.
With so many characters from across the Marvel Universe all on the hunt for the Stones and with mysterious and perhaps conflicting reasons to do so, it seems we are heading for a new Infinity Quest in 2018.
Rather timely how that worked out, what with Avengers: Infinity War hitting screens next year.
