5. Uatu
Uatu may not be the most popular character in the Marvel Universe, but he has maintained a near constant presence in comics since 1963. Having made his debut in the pages of Fantastic Four #13, it makes sense, then, that the Watcher is deeply embedded in Marvel lore.
Although Uatu died after being shot and having his eyes gouged out on the moon in 2014, he's always managed to add a sense of gravitas and urgency to a story. As his title implies, Uatu is supposed to only watch the Earth. So, whenever Uatu broke his rule of noninvolvement, readers knew a massive story and threat was approaching.
Whatever Marvel Legacy is going to entail, the resurrection of Uatu could bring the entire Marvel Universe together in a way it hasn't been since Original Sin.
