10 Comic Book Animals Who Should Be In A Movie

1. Krypto The Superdog

Not only is Krypto the single greatest comic book animal sidekick of all time, but he's also a must-have for the DC Cinematic Universe. There's something wonderful about the boyhood fantasy aspect of Krypto, being that he's a dog that wears Superman's cape and can fly around with the Man of Steel. It really drives home the purity and innocence that those old comics had, but there's no denying that Krypto can be painted in any way that you choose. He can be that Silver Age morality lesson, but he can also be that savage, but loyal guardian from the later years. It's exciting to think about Krypto flying alongside Henry Cavill's Superman, as the visual alone would be worth it, as well as giving Cavill's Clark something much more intimate to hold on to. Granted, he still has adoptive mom Martha Kent, but Krypto is proof that dogs truly are a Superman's best friend, too. Krypto would be a much-needed element of fun in the Snyder-driven Superman world, and we all know that the Man of Steel could use some fun after his city got leveled. But there's some great comic book animals that didn't make the list, so hit the comment section and let us know what your favorite DC or Marvel animal is!
