10 Comic Book Characters Everyone Hates (And Why They're Wrong)

The hatred of Hal Jordan is a head scratcher, but go onto any comic book forum and you'll find a thread or two decrying the character as the most boring of the Earthly Green Lanterns.

The general consensus seems to be that he's a bit of a fool and that he takes the focus away from the other Lanterns, mainly fan favorite John Stewart, but these arguments still shouldn't take away from the fact that Hal is the best Green Lantern there has ever been.

He has fought side by side with Earth's greatest heroes on a regular basis, watched his home city be destroyed and lost all his marbles before wiping out the entire Corps and killing the Guardians in retaliation. He has been both Parallax and the Spectre on separate occasions before a triumphant return in his Green Lantern form during the New 52. He has also been known to don the yellow ring when he has needed to, and has punched Sinestro in the face so many times that it has stopped being funny.

Somehow, though, he's still less liked than Guy Gardner - and that's just wrong on so many levels.
