10 Comic Book Characters With Extremely Versatile Powersets

Having an array of esoteric abilities is what amounts to true power...

Kang Comics are full of characters with amazing superpowers. Incredible super-strength, amazing speed, invulnerability, invisibility, intangibility, flight, teleportation, healing factors, telepathy and telekinesis are just a few of the fantastic powers they boast between them (and that list could, quite literally, go on all day). However, some characters only have one or two of these powers. Look at the Hulk - sure, he's very powerful, but all he has going for him is physical strength and durability. Against someone who can mind-control him in to stepping in to a portal that leads to a black hole, he's hosed. Look at Professor X - an incredibly powerful telepath for sure, but if he goes against a telepathy proof, invisible opponent with city-busting energy blasts, what's he going to do except die? Having an array of esoteric abilities is what amounts to true power, as it not only means that you have the element of surprise regarding how you're going to attack an opponent, it also means that you have contingencies to fall back on if your first type of attack fails. If Hulk tries to punch an intangible opponent, he's out of ideas. If Professor Xavier is overpowered in the telepathy stakes, it's not as though he's able to end the fight with a well-placed uppercut. The number of characters with versatile powersets is absolutely huge, so in this article, we'll be looking at just a small selection of characters who boast an array of powers and abilities that mean they have a number of ways to attack opponents and defend themselves. Here are ten comic book characters with extremely versatile powersets...
