10 Comic Book Characters Who Have NEVER Had Their Identities Exposed

6. Hal Jordan

Hal Jordan Green Lantern
DC Comics

Hal Jordan has been one of the most visible members of the Green Lantern Corps for decades, as he was the one who helped kick off the Silver Age of Comics back in October of 1959. Jordan took to the job easily, and through his dominating willpower, he became a powerful superhero.

While everyone who reads his comics knows exactly who he is, Hal Jordan's identity as the Green Lantern isn't known outside of his closest friends in the superhero community. The guy wears nothing but an eye mask to hide who he is, and the public has yet to ascertain his identity—and this is a guy who conjures up jet aircraft somewhat regularly.

Being a test pilot and looking like the Green Lantern hasn't helped anyone figure out who the Green Lantern actually is, but this is the DC Universe, and Superman has been able to sneak around Metropolis wearing a pair of glasses for years, so it's not beyond comprehension that Jordan's identity hasn't been exposed.

Even after he destroyed the Corps, became Parallax, threatened to destroy the universe, became Spectre, and turned it all around again, his identity as Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814, has remained a secret to the people of Earth.
