10 Comic Book Characters Who Keep Changing Identities
5. Hank Pym - Seven Superhero Identities
Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym is one of those superheroes who likes to tinker. He's a scientist, after all, and with his big brain comes the ability to alter his methods of fighting crime and supporting the Avengers. When he first appeared, he was known as Ant-Man, a hero who could shrink to the relative size of an ant.
He remained Ant-Man for a long time and helped to found the Avengers. Thanks to some tinkering with his so-called "Pym Particles," Hank realized he could grow larger as well as shrink. He grew himself to become a colossal being, and this necessitated a change of identity.
He fixed up his costume and started calling himself Giant-Man. A more apt name probably doesn't exist, but he gave it a shot when he decided to change his moniker once more, this time electing to take the name, Goliath.
When he was playing dead, he 'came back' as the villainous Yellowjacket, which came with new abilities and a costume change. He later changed back to being himself but kept the Yellowjacket identity. He eventually resumed his older named, and often hops around, switching his nametag every so often. He's even called himself Dr. Pym the Scientific Adventurer, Ultron, and Wasp, after his deceased wife.
