2. Superheroes Hooking Up

Like the Ross and Rachel of comic books, superheroes porking each other has been an American - or at least nerdy Americans' - obsession for years. We all want to know what the sight of Batman/Batgirl looks like, or Superman/Wonder Woman... or even Professor X/Magneto. The most popular is probably the pairing of Superman and Wonder Woman because people like all-Americanism, even when it's an alien and a foreigner being all American and getting it on to make special super-American babies. I honestly never got it myself. Whatever the reason, having two heroes smooch each other is often a quick way to make a reader squee like a Belieber. This is probably because most audiences find it intolerable to look at two people of the opposite sex - or same sex, in some instances - merely be acquainted with each other without visiting the bone zone. As with anything else in comics, these hook ups rarely last, if they even happen in the first place. Example: Cyclops and x-23 For some background, X-23 is an teenage female clone of Wolverine who was evil but now is kinda good. Comics, lol. This means that Cyclops is kind of making out with the actual Wolverine, which has been on the tip of most X-Men's pens for a long while, without ever seeing actual expression. It doesn't help that from the angle of his body, it looks like she's straight up attacking Cyke with that kiss, which would explain why her claws are popped out. Unless that how Wolverine and his clones get a boner? Are we even sure this is a female?
