Even everyone's favorite neighborhood Spider-Man has mentored a sidekick during his tenure as one of Marvel's finest heroes. At one point the wall-crawler had to play Uncle Ben for some other poor, powerful kid who needed to learn that good old power and responsibility lesson.

Their two paths would first cross when Peter Parker was giving a demonstration at Horizon Labs about his Parker Particles. But a problem occurs, and a bolt of energy from the unstable Particles strikes Andy Maguire turning him into Alpha.

Instead of killing the young man, he gained the ability to generate a form of kinetic energy that was tied to the power of the universe. Alpha can fire energy blasts, create force fields, manipulate matter, and even fly. However, his ability to channel massive amounts of cosmic energy to utilize his skills comes with a catch. He can only use one power at a time, meaning he has to learn to adapt when in battle.

Even though Spider-Man has several abilities he can use at once and has taken down some genuinely fearsome foes, it's hard to match up with someone that has the infinite power of the cosmos at their disposal.
