The Grosgumbeekians come from the planet Grosgumbeek and are sentient quadrupeds that somewhat resemble any number of Earth creatures, including goats and dogs. They are an extremely peaceful species who are highly adapted for great speed and, as a result, delight in running and other simple pleasures in life. Although they can indeed run faster than the speed of sound - in some cases considerably quicker - they have no desire to be the fastest beings and see competition as unpleasant, unattractive and unnecessary. A simple and primal species, they have no known technology and no real need for it. Their known, named members have included Duntumbla, Huyenneyuh and Startanious and they have encountered characters like Quasar, Makkari (who they helped train with regards to his speed) and the Runner (who wanted them to take part in his galactic marathon).
