Alan Moore's most beloved book may be a source of anger for the writer these days, but there's no denying the influence Watchman had on the comic book industry. Heck, most of the books on this list wouldn't exist if not for this series.
Watchman is full of sex and violence, but never in a way that detracts from the overall story. Moore and Gibbons utilised the adult themes in such a way that the book felt real. strategy and more about beating their enemies to a bloody pulp, or
throwing hot oil in someone's face. The violence was justified by the fact that most of them could do little else to win.
