10 Comic Characters You Won't Believe Joined The Justice League

4. Crimson Fox

Lex Luthor Justice League
DC Comics

Crimson Fox was a Justice League member with the power of pheromone control.

Her powerset may be a bit generic (and her name doesn't make sense since she looks NOTHING like a fox) but she's worth mentioning due to her unique predicament. She doesn't have a secret identity. She has TWO secret identities!

Constance and Vivian D'Aramis were the children of a Parisian scientist. When the D'Aramis sisters learned their mother developed terminal cancer from an experiment conducted at her corporation, Constance and Vivian vowed to stop all crime in Paris. And so, they took on the shared mantle of the Crimson Fox (which was originally called the Red Fox).

Because the sisters ran a perfume company, it was a bit tricky finding the time to fight criminals. As a result, Constance faked her death. That way, the sisters could rotate who ran the company, and who would patrol the city as the Crimson Fox

Readers found this situation a bit complicated, since Constance had to keep pretending to be her own sister. Every time the Crimson Fox appeared, the reader got confused which D'Aramis sister they were looking at. The double-identity was a nice idea, but too over-elaborate to pull off effectively.
